99CentGigs ("we," "us," "the platform") is a classifieds marketplace where users pay 99¢ per day to post a listing — for paid work, a volunteer opportunity, a service, or an item for sale. By using this site, you agree to the terms below.
99CentGigs is available to users located in the United States only. You must be at least 18 years old to post a listing or create an account.
We do not conduct background checks, inspect items, confirm job offers, or investigate posters or responders. It is your responsibility to exercise judgment and take reasonable precautions — meeting in safe public places, verifying payment before shipping goods, and researching anyone you plan to work with or for.
Exceptions to this policy, if any, are granted solely at 99CentGigs' discretion on a case-by-case basis. If an exception is granted, 99CentGigs will issue a discount code redeemable for one free listing at checkout, in place of a cash refund. Discount codes are issued only by 99CentGigs directly, are for single use, and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for cash.
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as PayPal or our e-commerce processor). Your payment information is collected and processed by those providers under their own terms and privacy policies — 99CentGigs does not store your full payment card details.
You may not use 99CentGigs to post listings involving, promoting, or facilitating:

We reserve the right to remove any listing and suspend any account at our discretion, with or without notice.
You are solely responsible for the content of any listing you post and for any transaction, agreement, or interaction you enter into with another user. 99CentGigs is not a party to any transaction between users and has no control over the conduct of any user, on or off the platform.
We may suspend or terminate your access to 99CentGigs at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. You may stop using 99CentGigs at any time. Fees already paid are not refunded upon suspension or termination (see Section 4).
If you believe a listing is fraudulent, unsafe, or violates these terms, please report it through the Support page. We review reports but cannot guarantee any particular outcome or response time.
You retain ownership of the content (text, photos, videos) you post on 99CentGigs. By posting content, you grant 99CentGigs a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service. The 99CentGigs name, logo, and site design are the property of 99CentGigs and may not be used without permission.
This policy sets forth 99CentGigs' procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512. It applies to any video, audio, image, or other copyrighted material uploaded to a 99CentGigs profile or post.
99CentGigs does not have actual knowledge that material posted by users is infringing, and does not receive a financial benefit directly attributable to infringing activity that it has the right and ability to control. Upon obtaining actual knowledge or awareness of infringing material, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to it. We also accommodate and do not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works.
Filing a takedown notice. If you believe content on 99CentGigs infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent (below) that includes:
We will remove or disable access to the material promptly, notify the user who posted it, and record a strike against their account (see Strike System below). Notices missing any of the six elements above may be rejected without action.
Counter-notification. If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our Designated Agent with:
We forward valid counter-notices to the original complaining party. If they do not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may reinstate the content.
Repeat infringer strike system. Strikes apply per account:
Strikes expire after 12 months with no further violations. A knowingly false rights certification (see Section 11) is treated as an automatic Strike 2. A user may appeal a strike once, in writing, before it takes effect, if they believe it was issued in error.
Designated DMCA Agent:
Before a video can be posted, the uploader must certify the rights status of everything in it, not just its main subject. Using even one third-party song, sound effect, image, or logo alongside original material still requires certification for that specific item.

By selecting an option above, you are legally certifying it is true for every element of the video, not only its main subject. Falsely certifying rights you do not have violates these terms, may result in an account strike, and may expose you to personal liability to the rights holder. The platform logs the timestamp, selected options, and user ID with each post as a good-faith record.
99CentGigs is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any listing is genuine, accurate, or safe.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 99CentGigs and its owners are not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from your use of the platform, any listing, or any interaction with another user — including but not limited to financial loss, property damage, personal injury, or fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold 99CentGigs and its owners harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the platform, your listings, or your violation of these terms.
As stated in Section 4, all listing fees are final and non-refundable once a listing goes live. If you believe you were charged in error, contact Support first — most issues can be resolved directly and faster than through a bank or PayPal dispute.
If you file a chargeback or dispute with PayPal or your bank instead of contacting us, we will respond with evidence that the listing was published and remained live for the paid period. Accounts with a pattern of chargebacks after receiving service may be suspended or permanently banned from the platform, at our discretion, to protect the marketplace for other users.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, regardless of where you are located or where a listed job, gig, service or opportunity is based.
Talk to us first. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us through the Support page and describe the problem. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
Arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, you and 99CentGigs agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of 99CentGigs will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. The arbitration may be held by video or phone, or in the county where you live. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
No class actions. Disputes will be handled only on an individual basis. Neither you nor 99CentGigs may bring or take part in a class, collective or representative action against the other.
Your right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by contacting us through the Support page within 30 days of creating your account, saying that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.
Courts. Any dispute that is not arbitrated (including one where you have opted out, or a small claims case) will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
Disputes between you and another user are between the two of you. 99CentGigs is not a party to agreements between users.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and 99CentGigs regarding your use of the platform.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of 99CentGigs after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
