Everything About Pricing, Posting, Applying, and Staying Safe on 99CentGigs.
Pricing & Billing
You pick how many days you want your listing to stay live, and pay 99¢ for each of those days up front — that's it. No plans, no tiers, no per-listing setup fee on top.
No. Every payment is a one-time charge for a fixed number of days. Nothing is stored to bill you again, and nothing renews automatically. When your paid days run out, you're welcome to add more — but we'll never charge you without you choosing to.
Never. The 99¢/day listing fee is the only thing you ever pay us. Whatever you charge, earn, or negotiate with someone through the platform is entirely yours.
Your listing comes down automatically. It's not deleted right away — you can still renew it from My Listings for a little while after it expires — but it stops showing up in search and browse results.
Yes, anytime, from My Listings — whether it's still live or recently expired. You just pay 99¢ for each additional day.
Checkout runs through PayPal, which also accepts debit and credit cards without needing a PayPal account. We never see or store your card details.
Posting a Listing
A Gig is short-term or one-time work with a clear start and finish. A Job is an ongoing position with no set end date. A Service is something you offer on a standing basis, like cleaning or tutoring, that people come to you for. Volunteer posts are unpaid opportunities. See the options when you post to pick the right one.
Yes. It's free to create one, and you'll need it to manage your listing, see who's reached out, and pay for it to go live.
It's the one thing keeping the marketplace free of spam and throwaway listings. You can build and save a draft without verifying — it's only required at checkout, right before a listing goes live.
Immediately after payment clears — no review queue, no waiting.
Yes, anytime, from My Listings — no need to repost or pay again to fix a typo or update details.
Yes — both the Gig and Job forms have a "Hiring on a Rolling Basis" toggle for when you're constantly looking and don't have one fixed start date in mind.
Applying & Browsing
Always free. Browsing, applying, and messaging a provider never costs a seeker anything — only the person posting the listing pays.
Yes, a free account — it's what lets the poster see who applied and lets you keep track of what you've applied to.
A quick match score shown when you view a job, gig, or volunteer listing, based on how well it fits what's on your profile — so you can tell at a glance if it's worth applying.
Trust & Safety
No — we don't independently verify posters or listings, the same as most classifieds sites. Use the same judgment you would anywhere online: meet in public for in-person work, and be cautious about sending money or personal information before you've confirmed who you're dealing with.
No — we don't recommend sending money, deposits, gift cards, or personal financial information to anyone before a job starts or work is verified. 99CentGigs never asks you to pay another user directly. If someone on a listing asks you to send money upfront, treat it as a red flag and Report Fraud.
Every listing page has a "Report This Listing" link. We review every report.
Yes. PayPal handles your payment details end to end — we never see or store your card or bank information.
