This policy explains what information 99CentGigs collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses the platform — people posting listings and people browsing or applying to them.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account and profile information — name, email, location, profile photo
• Listing content — text, photos, videos, and pricing you submit when posting
• Job-seeker information — resumes, work history, skills, and credentials (degrees, licenses, certifications) you choose to add to your profile
• Communications — messages you send through Support or listing inquiries
• Payment information — collected and processed by our third-party payment provider (see Section 4); we do not store full card numbers

We also automatically collect limited technical information (such as IP address and browser type) when you use the site, for security and basic analytics purposes.

2. How we use your information

• To operate the platform — display your listings, run GigScore matching, and connect posters with seekers
• To process payments for listings
• To respond to Support requests and enforce our Terms & Conditions
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms
• To communicate with you about your account or listings

3. What we share, and with whom

Content you choose to make public — such as a listing, your business name, or a service profile — is visible to anyone who visits the site. Information tied to matching (like a resume you submit to a specific job) is shared with the poster of that listing. We share information with service providers who help us run the platform (payment processing, hosting, email delivery), and only to the extent needed for them to perform that service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

4. Payment processing

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors (such as PayPal or our e-commerce platform). When you pay for a listing, your payment details are submitted directly to that processor and are subject to its own privacy policy and terms. 99CentGigs does not store your full card number or bank account details.

5. Data retention

Listing content is generally available for as long as the listing remains live, and is removed 24 hours after its paid-through date if not renewed. Account and profile information (including resumes and credentials) is retained until you delete it or close your account, or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your choices

• You can review and update your profile information at any time.
• You can remove a resume, credential, or listing you've posted.
• You can request that we delete your account and associated personal information by contacting Support, subject to what we're required to retain by law.

7. Children's privacy

99CentGigs is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of 99CentGigs after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
